This was our first really warm-feeling day. It's been way better than home, it's hard to imagine a snowy home since we haven't seen snow for over a week now. Here, it was up to 28C (82F) today.
About 10:30 the 4 of us took the short drive to Royal Palm centre, and walked the Anhinga Trail from there. This is a boardwalk out into a water area, which is just loaded with wildlife in this dry season.
As the area swamps dry up, the gators, birds, turtles and fish all congregate where there are still pools of water. Amazing numbers of black vultures, herons, egrets, turtles, gators, cormorants, anhinga, pelicans etc. A really wonderful experience.
