Hannibal MO to Marysville KS

Starting to see Western sunsets

Another driving day today, mostly along US 36, also known as I72 or even US 24 in places. It's also known as the Pony Express Highway in parts. 


It was much cooler today, starting at 14C and only reaching about 14 again later on, after falling to 12C. Almost 20 C degrees cooler than the past couple of days. 

Marysville Kansas provides free parking at a municipal campground right in town. However any sort-of-level spots were already taken when we got there about 4:30, and the washrooms were typical municipal washrooms, ie a mess. So, here we are back east of town in yet another Walmart lot. A pleasant spot on a much nicer evening than the last couple have been.

  1. Another good travel day and we have found most Wlamrts are pretty consistent for an overnight stay.
