Kluane Lake |
For our last day in the Whitehorse area we decided to take a short trip to Kluane Lake. The route passes through Haines Junction, and is all on the Alaska Highway/TCH #1. We came the other way back in 2015 when we were in this area, and wanted to have a better look than we took then.
Well, Kluane was picture-perfect today. Almost all the pictures are of the lake. It looked like a pro was taking pictures of the lake with this canoe in various spots, so we did too:
As a bonus today, We came across these young bears chowing down on roadside grass, when we were leaving the Lake area:
As we passed through Haines Junction, these cones called to us for help. We saved them from melting:
For the finale, a faint rainbow showed its colour to brighten the overhanging clouds:
Tomorrow we'll be leaving Whitehorse, heading back southerly.
Great to see all these pics,,,,wow,,,the lake pics are spectacular!!!!
