Day trip to El Paso

Today we all packed into Curt’s car to go back to the Saddle Blanket store in El Paso, it should be open today. Curt expanded his dog area in the back, so all 3 dogs fit. All 4 of us had a good browse and all bought something. No big rugs, although they had some really nice ones there. Wool blends. Pretty much all the items were made in Mexico or further afield. They had a nice selection of saddles, selling for $700 instead of the $3,000 that would be required for US-made versions.

On the way back we stopped at Leo’s for Mexican-style lunch. I had a huge bowl of really good soup, and took half of it home where it became most of our supper that night, along with the rest of the jalapeƱo/cheese foccaiea (?) bread we had left.
