Day trip to Chloride and panning for Gold

Today the guys and gals separated. Curt and I took our car with a small convoy back up to Chloride and the trail beyond, doing some gold panning (no luck, but it was interesting to try). The gals relaxed in camp, each doing their own thing, then headed in to TorC for some shopping.

No luck today, but it was fun trying

Looked like a bullfighting bull wandering by, luckily he didn't stop

Tonight was the St Patrick’s Day supper at the cg. The cg supplied corned beef & cabbage, boiled potatoes and carrots. We campers provided the salads and desserts. Very rib-sticking meal, none of us needed breakfast the next morning. A great way to finish our week at the cg.
