This morning we all headed in to Truth or Consequences to the Hay-Yo-Kay Hot Springs for a soak. $6 each for a ½ hr soak, which was long enough for us. Private rooms with small pools in them, so each couple had a private separate room.
We took the first pool we were shown, with 101 degree water, hot enough for a first time. The bottom was rounded river stones, about 4 ft deep, with a pretty good natural water flow coming up through the stones. No chemicals, very sanitary, crystal clear water. The minerals gave us a lot of flotation, it was hard to keep our feet down sometimes. Another time we’d likely do this weekly, maybe even a couple of times a week at first.
Later at the campground we lazed around, then had a nice bbq supper using campground-supplied bbq's.
