The weather was better today. A bit warm and humid, and cloudy in the morning but no rain, so Pat and I biked a beautiful section of the Confederation trail:
From Morell to St Peters, about 12 km along St Peters Bay shore |
The green area above St Peters Bay is Greenwich National Park |
Lots of water views across the Bay |
Bridges where needed |
Ripe blackberries along the Trail |
Yum! |
Colourful Joe-Pye weed along the Trail |
Joe-Pye weed info |
Some trail maintenance, keeps things looking good. |
Across St Peter's Bay as it is narrowing |
At the end of the Bay- town of St Peters. |
St Peters was the end of the ride today, an easy 12 km. I'm told this is maybe the prettiest stretch of the Confederation Trail, but all of the sections we've ridden have been really nice. Pat goes back to work tomorrow, so this is the end of the bike rides for now. Thanks Pat and Nancy!
What a wonderful ride you enjoyed today and loved your photos.

Have it in my garden,, did not spread much, though!
Love it in the ditches!
Take care,
We left Joe Pye weed behind at our Flesherton place. The butterflies really liked it too
DeleteMy Joe Pye weed is in bloom for the first time ever - nice to see lots of it. The deer have eaten mine in other years. I hope you have some lovely places to cycle in Bayfield.
ReplyDeleteLuckily there are no deer on PEI. We're looking forward to exploring Bayfield by bike. Gord.
DeletePEI has to be one of the most beautiful cycling spots anywhere!
ReplyDeletecatching up again with your wonderful pictures and accounts of your travels. You have certainly had a wonderful summer camping experience by all accounts.
