A late start today followed by an early stop. This will likely be the pattern from here on. We managed to find cozy municipal campgrounds for last night and tonight. So we're heading home, but not quickly, and will stop at anything we find interesting along the way.

Decadent breakfast at Denny's. We love their Senior's menu. |

Lots of towers along the highway |
|
We saw two really large solar arrays along the Alberta highway |
|
It seemed strange to see little old Ayr listed with these big cities on this truck |
|
Lots of highway today |
|
Lots of nice rolling green hills |
|
They crop hay from the median in some places |

Aaahh! |
We did see about 9 antelope today, in fields along the road. Too far away for cell phone pictures though, and no place to safely stop. we may drop a little further south tomorrow before continuing east on secondary roads. The TCH is nice easy driving, well surfaced, and others can easily pass us, but we feel like we're watching it go by on TV. It's hard to get involved with the surroundings.
Update: since we've realized we have about 3,000 km to get home from here, we're going to stick with the main TCH. Such is the reality.
The scenery is quite a contrast from the mountains but I like the big open spaces of the prairies too. Donna B
